A quick update!!!

So wanted to give you all a quick update. The initial meeting with the social worker-well-was AWESOME! Three very intense hours telling "our" stories to her, about our childhood, our marriage, and our parenting. She also reviewed with us some of the things we have done since our Pre-Adoption Class, especially on the research and supports for becoming a transracial/transcultural family. Because of this and our adoption study paperwork, her plan is to come down next tuesday to complete the rest of the interview, meet Kenny-and then a week from now we will officially be in the Waiting Process for a referral from Ethiopia!

Currently waiting periods could range up to 20 months, but the timeline of finishing our paperwork is about 3 months faster than expected!

We will have official word a week from now, our hope is to post our news next week!
