We have arrived (well about 5 hours ago..it is 3:20 now our time). I
would have emailed a bit earlier-however you may have guessed it--I
got sick already. Well I think what happened was I might have drank a
tad too much water when I got here (insert don't eat too many ice
chips while in labor comment now!). After losing the entire meal
that was prepared for us in our shared bathroom and a 2 hour nap, it
is safe to say whatever I had has now passed--AMEN!

Our flight in was fine, never being on a plane for more than 4
hours-the 12 hour flight was interesting-but luckily for us we found 2
other families sitting near by adopting-those two families are here
for trip #2 and get to go see their children today.

We got through the Visa line, customs, bags, and exchanged currency
fairly easily-then onto the guest house with 6 other families. Addis
Ababa
is quite interesting...Rob was worried I was sick on the ride
over (which might explain the first paragraph) but I was really just
quiet taking in as much as I can and wondering: has our son ever seen
this Capitol City? Today we arrived a day early so it is just a day
to adjust to the time change, and prepare for tomorrow-CHANGE OF
PLANS-we are going to the orphanage tomorrow!!! There has been a
change to the itinerary and we are going tomorrow to visit Isaiah!!!
We and another family will make the 3 plus hour trip south to Hosanna
and go to the orphanage in which Isaiah is at. We have been prepped
that we will be playing with a variety of children, not just him, nor
can we tell him "hey I will be back-hopefully in 8 to 12 weeks-to
bring you home". I am praying that our journey there will be safe and
that he will have some moments with us that will give all three of us
enough to make it through the time in between.

INTERNET--well this has been a bugger to start. I tried my work,
yahoo accounts with no luck--then I finally figured out my gmail and
it blocked due to unusual activity (I guess trying to log in here in
Ethiopia make the tech guys nervous). Anyway the only email I have
working now might be a blessing as I won't get tapped into the many
things that are moving and shaking without us and really gives us a
chance to focus all our time and energy in this trip.

We leave at 6 am tomorrow (and trust me I will stay away from the
Malaria pill until I return home) and will be back at the guest house
late tomorrow afternoon.

Thank you all again for your support, friendship and prayers!
