December 22

well on our last day, and 3 hours to go, internet is up. As I sit here M is singing a variety of songs to me, some in English, most in Amharic...today we spent a great deal of time with mom's hairdryer and brush....he did a nice job on my hair, with the humidity here it is nice and big today.

In the past 48 hours we have learned about English words and when we are alone he talks nonstop. I have seen the Ethiopia equivelent of the "middle finger" to mom a few times today (those of you who have adopted toddlers from Ethiopia will immediately understand what that is) reasoning for it--bedtime, putting a toy away or mom not immediately responding to a request--in English/Amharic or a combination of both.

Last night we enjoyed one last night with the other 2 families here-it was wonderful to have an extra hand or two--especially to get a shower in during the day. I have heard that my other friends will be coming over the weekend--sad to miss them, but right now I am itching to get home to see Kenny and Rob.

M holds his photo album and says "kenny" and "papa" clear as day--he is very excited about the flight tonight-and I am hopeful all goes well.

Well, my 3 minutes of respite are up--have to sign off!

Merry Christmas Everyone!
