Then and Now....2 Months together.

Kenny's Birthday Celebration-2012

Back to work, school/daycare and doctor appointments keeps our weeks busy and moving fast forward! I can't believe this week will mark the 2 month home marker (2-23-2012)! It is amazing to see the growth and change that has occured since then.....for a little historical marker see below:

Oh this face....the one he made at me most of the trip in Ethiopia, and seemed to save for me for special occasions. At the time I kept thinking "Is this as good as it will get" will I always be the bad guy? I remember those first days together-trying so hard to have meaningful communication-and on his end wondering/worrying what in the world was going on!

Now a days the smiles are frequent-and the tears are far between. He runs to me (and kenny at times) and is lots of hugs and cuddles. His language has grown leaps and bounds...from never holding a pencil before-5 weeks of preschool and he can not only grip a pencil...but start his name (we have a great I and a really good "a" as well).

In the next weeks we have medical appointments and follow ups at Mayo-all we hope with good news and results. However, no matter what Isaiah has been adjusting into our family better than expected-and much sooner than we could have planned!

Well we are far far far from those days now.....
